Group

Description

Health Check and Baselining Tools

Used to identify if the fabric has a problem or if its configuration has changed since the last baseline.

Verification, Analysis, and Control CLIs

Used for fabric deployment verification, analysis, and control.

Detailed Fabric Data Gathering

Used for gathering general fabric data for further analysis. Some commands produce text files while others produce files in CSV format that may be imported into Microsoft Excel.

Configuration and Control for Chassis, Switch, and Host

Used for general management of hosts in the fabric, as well as switches. There are also helper programs to help produce the necessary configuration files.

Basic Setup and Administration Tools

Used for basic setup and administration of the hosts and chassis.

File Management Tools

Used for copying files to and from large groups of nodes in the fabric. Internally, these tools make use of SCP.

The tools require that password-less SSH/SCP is set up between the host running the Omni-Path Toolset and the hosts that are being transferred to and from. Use opasetupssh to set up password-less SSH/SCP.

Fabric Link and Port Control

Used for the manipulation of device and port states in the fabric.

Fabric Debug

Used for gathering various fabric information from the Fabric Manager for debugging and analysis purposes.

Basic Single Host Operations

Enable toolset operations against cluster nodes when used on a Management Node with OPX Software installed. However, the commands can also be directly used on an individual host.

Utilities

Used for miscellaneous information about the fabric. They are also available for custom scripting.

Address Resolution Tools

Used to verify and diagnose the ibacm distributed SA plug-in.

Host Fabric Manager Commands

Used to execute commands and parse configuration files for the Fabric Manager.
