6.1. Introduction
The Cornelis Omni-Path product family is designed for excellent out-of-the-box performance. However, you may be able to further tune the performance to better meet the needs of your system.

Keep in mind, tunings that improve microbenchmark performance may negatively impact application performance.
With the OPX Software release 12.1.1 Cornelis has delivered performance updates using Bulk Transfer Service (BTS). These enhancements require loading the hfi1 driver with the use_bulksvc=Y option, as described in HFI1 Driver Parameters. Line-rate performance and low latency is achieved with enhanced GPU buffer transfer support.
