5. CN5000 Provisioning and Security
This guide describes how to provision and secure a CN5000 fabric after initial installation is complete, with emphasis on operating in shared environments. It is intended for fabric administrators who must enable multi-tenancy and enforce isolation and governance using virtual fabrics (vFabrics), including policies that control which hosts and workloads can communicate. It also provides guidance for integrating CN5000 with virtualized hosts, including configuration considerations for SR-IOV so tenant workloads can access fabric resources while maintaining administrative control and separation. Use this guide to harden and standardize the fabric before onboarding users, tenants, and production workloads.
