4.2.1. Nodes, Hosts, and Endpoints
While the terms nodes, hosts, and endpoints are often used interchangeably in common use, for the purposes of this document, note the following:
A node or host is defined as a server with a Cornelis CN5000 Omni-Path SuperNIC installed.
Endpoint refers to a single Cornelis CN5000 Omni-Path SuperNIC.
When the hosts of a given fabric contain only a single endpoint, the terms are often used interchangeably. If the hosts contain multiple endpoints, these terms should not be conflated.
