The ambient temperature is derated 1 °C for every 53 meters above 900 meters above sea level, or about 1.8 °F for every 174 feet above 2953 feet above sea level. Operating humidity should be between 10% and 85% non-condensing.

The ambient temperature for the CN5000 Switch and DCS switches must stay between 5–40 °C (50–113 °F).
