P.1. Fat Tree Related XML Tags

  • RoutingAlgorithm: Set to fattree to use the Fat Tree algorithm.

  • FatTreeTopology: Defines structural and balancing behavior of the Fat Tree fabric.

    • Debug: Enables or disables Debug messages.

    • TierCount: Number of tiers in the Fat Tree fabric.

    • FIsOnSameTier: Set to 1 if all FIs are on the same tier (used by routing algorithm to simplify balancing); if not, set to 0.

    • PassThrough: Sets up routing in a round-robin manner such that the Xth FI on a switch is routed through the Xth ISL on the same tier.

    • Converge: Used in 3-tier trees to optimize route balancing.

Inter-Switch Link - This is a link connecting two switches in the fabric, which may be internal to a large switch or an external cable between separate switches.
